If I Can...BUM BUM....Make It There.......

What started as a want will become a reality this week. I'm finally....FINALLY....going to NYC.

I've been hush hush about my trip on my blog for lots of reasons.

1) I've had a sucky year. Oh wait. Did you not know that? Hmm....well go back and read the last year of posts. Ok?) My trips have only had a 50% success rate in actually happening. So therefore, I didn't want to jinx anything.

2) See #1.

But all that is changing on Friday when AN and I head up to the BIG CITY. (And yes, be prepared to see a bunch of capital letters here over the next few days. I realize that's the Internet screaming. But I really have been screaming when I talk about my trip lately, so I feel it's appropriate.

I leave on Friday and return on Monday. And although New York is going to be fantastic, do you want to know the other awesome facet to that vacational equation?

Two. Days. Off. Work......In. A. Row.

People, do you realize that the last time I took more than two days off in a row it was for my surgery? And the last time it was for vacation was in 2010. Two whole years. (And I'm not counting Thanksgiving.)

So vacation, in New York, with the most awesome tour guide around........

To say I'm excited would be like saying that Princess Diana had a poofy wedding dress.

Understatement.

So as I continue through this week, just know that the soundtrack in my head is Old Frank, Mr. Blue Eyes singing...."If I can....BUM BUM.....make it there, I'll make it.....BUM BUM...ANYWHERE!"
